Fans of a hit police drama are stunned following the demise of a key character after seven years.
For the first time in eight years, ABC’s 9-1-1 Has eliminated one individual from its main ensemble of actors.
Bobby Nash’s tragic passing on September 1st has left fans deeply shaken, particularly after the episode airing on April 17th titled 'Lab Rats,' which featured the character of LA Fire Captain portrayed by him. Peter Krause , giving up his own life to rescue several members of his team.
Following their last shared moment, LAPD Sergeant Athena Grant-Nash, portrayed by the actress from Black Panther, Angela Bassett ), Bobby succumbs to a fatal virus that he and his fellow firefighters were attempting to control.
When discussing the cause of Bobby’s death, the show’s executive producer and head writer Tim Menear mentioned that he believed it was 'the right moment'.
He told Deadline 'As Season 9 approaches, I find myself placing my characters in precarious positions. By now, both the writers and the audience might start feeling somewhat at ease, thinking everything will ultimately turn out okay.'
Nevertheless, upon turning to social media, it seems that viewers of the program were not at all pleased with how Bobby's storyline concluded.

The character’s surprising demise occurs as the series has been granted a renewal for its ninth season.
The co-leader of 9-1-1, Angela, expressed her surprise upon discovering information about Bobby’s outcome.
Initially, she believed that another firefighter was destined to perish in the laboratory.
She told The Hollywood Reporter 'It seemed unbelievable to me that it was Bobby, which made it extremely startling.'
9-1-1 broadcasts on ABC within the United States and can be streamed via Disney Plus in the UK.
