CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape traffic officials are changing tactics in their efforts to improve road safety for the upcoming Easter weekend.
In the same timeframe last year, a total of 33 individuals lost their lives on the province’s roads, and authorities are determined to reduce these numbers.
Authorities will concentrate on mobile traffic checks rather than fixed roadblocks.

At the Huguenot Toll Plaza, local traffic officials are working alongside the SAPS to ensure compliance with road regulations.
While traffic officials strive to decrease the number of roadway deaths, especially during festive seasons, managing agencies have reinforced appeals to motorists to contribute their share.
