A fisherman died after huge waves pulled him into the ocean.
Emergency services responded to Endeavor Drive at the Wollongong Harbour, NSW 'on the South Coast, around 6:15 AM on Friday.
Police officers hurried to the location after receiving information that a man had been retrieved from the water unresponsive.
The 58-year-old woman was unable to be resuscitated and passed away at the location.
It’s thought that the man was fishing on a rocky ledge when big waves swept over and dragged him into the surge.
The investigations regarding the incident are currently in progress, and anyone with information who hasn’t yet talked to law enforcement is encouraged to step forward.
A report will be compiled for the Coroner.
