DURBAN - The Durban Metro Police Training Institute is scheduled for significant improvements.
It's to enable the academy to comply with the legislative requirements of the Road Traffic Management Corporation.
Service delivery and crime-prevention programmes will also be enhanced.
Although the revamp is appreciated, ActionSA in KZN opposes the suggested reductions in trainee wages as per the new model.
The KZN leader of ActionSA, Zwakele Mncwango, stated that they suggested the city stop using outsourced services.
